WELCOME TO OUR 15TH-ANNIVERSARY SEASON!
Dear Friends,
As Zoellner Arts Center enters its 15th celebratory season, we rededicate ourselves to bringing you the arts of the world and “arts in the making.” Side-by-side with international performers from Spain, Russia, and Ireland, we offer the finest in collegiate student performances. Yours are the first ears to hear new works regularly performed as part of Lehigh University’s vibrant arts scene.
Laugh with Dusty and the Big Bad World, the Flying Karamazov Brothers and Notations speaker John Hodgman. Revisit favorites in concerts like RAIN, celebrating the music of the Beatles, and The NY Jazz Repertory Orchestra’s big band tribute to Count Basie, Miles Davis and Benny Goodman. Experience work from 399 BC when Yannis Simonides delivers The Apology of Socrates or share in the excitement of the 2012 premieres of Steven Sametz’s folk-like choral setting Entreat Me Not to Leave You or Paul Salerni’s story-telling music Fables.
The arts community of the Lehigh Valley is growing and Zoellner Arts Center welcomes the opportunity to join the progress. We will continue to offer you the quality and variety you’ve come to depend on and which have been our hallmark for the past 15 years.
We are a community that comes together through a love for the arts. If you have been with us since our opening or just joining us today, thank you for being part of that community. Whether in the audience, on the stage or in a classroom, each of you helps to make Zoellner Arts Center an exciting and creative place to be.
Thank you for joining us!
Deborah Sacarakis, Artistic Director
